HD 99 LOVELY VIRGINIA BEACH

My Home and Neighbors

Virginia Beach is where we stroll the boardwalk, grab coffee with friends, and play on the beach. It’s where seabirds dive, where we wander through state parks, and where the horizon stretches endlessly over the sea. It is also a city rich in culture, rooted in history, and alive with possibility.

District 99 is a living, breathing cross-section of everything that makes Virginia Beach special — it is a community of small business owners, artists, working families, and retirees.  We are Navy families, lifelong locals, and new arrivals — all navigating life together. We are a community of neighbors who show up to help and support each other;  we check on each other when a storm rolls through; we pass the hat when a teacher needs supplies or help with a fundraiser.

Our Virginia Beach is more than a place — it’s a reminder that we are part of something bigger. We are a diverse and vibrant community.

We are the real Virginia Beach.

A man with gray hair, glasses, and a beard wearing a North Carolina t-shirt, sitting indoors next to a woman with long blonde hair, smiling, dressed in a black blazer and white blouse.
Two smiling people holding campaign flyers standing outside under a roof, with bushes and flowers in the background.
People participating in a St. Patrick's Day parade, with some dressed in green and handing out cups of drinks or snacks to others on the street.

I chose Virginia Beach. Or maybe it chose me.
